June 2014

Well things have dramatically changed. Things have been very busy for us and the month isn't over yet. We have a new addition to our family so now we have three kids.

Beth--was laid off April 25th from Maximus. There was a total of 1600 employees. I've been thinking about finishing my degrees. Just recently found out that I'm 5 classes away from getting my associates in criminal justice and 8 classes from getting my bachelors in healthcare administration with an emphasis on emergency services. Also have been trying to find a new job although the job market here is bad.

Jared--been laid off since Nov of last year and hasn't been able to find a job with his trade as a journeyman plumber. He has been getting side jobs here and there.

Jacob--passed 4th grade. He bridges over next spring to become a Boy Scout. He just got done playing baseball and found his sport that he is happy. He may start summer school at the end of June to the end of July.

Alysa--still not up to speed with her talking yet. Been a little discouraged about that. Have been going through the infant & toddler program but feel as it is not helping much. She is almost 3 already. Where does the time go?

Alex--Jared's niece is now living with us. She has been with us since May. Been looking for a new place. She will be a 9th grader next year and the nice thing is that her school is next to Jacob's so she will be able to walk with him home next year. We are trying to get guardianship of her and right now we have power of attorney over her. Hope everything here soon falls back in place.

The few things that keep me going now a days is having The Lord on my side to help us deal with the anger, pain, and everything else that his brother has caused on his side of the family. All I can do is keep praying about the situation and hopefully we'll all get the strength to get past this rough patch. I have my kids to get me going to do the things I need to although it can be rough right now. I have to truly appreciate and be grateful that my parents are not letting us go homeless right now. Just thought I would update the blog for the family and friends that do read this.

March 2014

I know it's been a while since I was on last. The end of 2013 was bad with Jared  getting laid off the weekend before Thanksgiving.

Jared has been at home with the kids by getting Jacob to school each morning. Jacob is now officially a Webelos scout and has one more year left until he crosses over to become a Boy Scout. Jacob gets his braces off at the end of the month and he is very excited. This last Saturday Jacob had baseball tryouts.  We find out next week what team he made. Majors or Minors.

Alysa is learning how to talk. She was diagnosed with being 10 months behind in language delay. She can do what 3-year olds can do, which is the bright side. She has been learning more signs which is always good.

I was just informed towards the end of April we are being laid off at Maximus. We were handling the affordable care act. Jacob and I have been learning my native language which is Korean. I found some people and they are going to see if they can track down my biological parents.

That is the update on us for right now.

4th of July

Well a lot has been going on with us. Happy 4th to my family and friends that read or keep updated with our blog. Happy Anniversary to my husband Jared Coulter for 3 amazing years and many more to come.

Jared started a job with the union of Idaho for plumbing back in May. He works in North Dakota for 3 weeks at a time then comes home for 1 week. It's definitely been busy when he gets home because the week fly's by and we don't realize it at times.

Jacob has been in tutoring all summer for reading to prep him for next year. He will be repeating 3rd grade although he is not very excited about that. He has also been finishing up his learning technics and I believe he has about a half month left on that. This last school year he was diagnosed with ADD and is on medication to help him keep focused with that. In August he has a busy month with scouts and also for the rest of July. He became a Webelos at the beginning of summer and loves every minute of it.

Alysa has gone to the hearing doctor yesterday and she may have loss hearing in her left ear. She gets retested on July 19th. Other than that she is 32 inches long and out eats her brother which is very humorous.

I am a stay at home mom now since I lost my job back in January. I have thought about going back to work when Jacob returns to school. Jared got a raise so its nice to be able and stay at home with the kids.

That is all with us right now. Hope everyone family an friends are doing well.

May 2013

I know it's been awhile since I've been able to post.

Alysa is 16 mos and growing like a weed. She has been trying to run but has not succeeded yet. She is still not speaking except for mama and dada. She will most likely start speech therapy here in July.

Jacob has been busy with therapy to help his memory. He was diagnosed ADD so has been taking Adderall to help him stay on task. He gets his first phase of braces next Monday so he is not looking forward to that. He bridges over to a webelo scout towards the end of the month. He has a busy summer with scouts and all.

I lost my job in January and been struggling to find a new one. I may go to school soon for my paramedic license.

Jared finally got a job. He leaves on Sunday for 3 weeks and will be back the last week of may for when Jacob gets out of school. So it will be interesting but things are starting to look up for us again.

August 2012

Where did the month go? We were busy that is for sure. We went to the fair, BBQ with friends, and had a blast the last month of August.

Jared still hasn't found a job. I think he is finally settling okay being mr. Mom. It's nice but then hard with one income. We r managing.

Beth is still working at Directv. I just started school on August 6th. I am using the tuition reimbursement at work so that is really nice. I have been having medical problems so well see how things will pan out. I was supposed to go in for a biopsy at the end of August but the dr at the last moment shyed away from doin one. So now I am on antibiotics and pain meds.

Jacob started school at the catholic school close by and he loves it. So far it seems like he is doing well. He has a few friends from vbs and one classmate from his previous school in his class.

Alysa is doing well. She is talking up a storm now and crawling all over the place. She is 9 mos and it seems like we just had her a month ago. She definitely has her own personality.

Towards the end of the month we went to see Rachel and her new little baby. She is adorable. Rachel seems like she is doing well.

July 2012

Well it's already July. We're does the time go. This month is gonna be fun.

Jared has been working part-time for a company that does well pumps. He fixes them and rebuilds them.

I still work at Directv and it has been interesting I make good money and tend to work a lot now trying to get extra money to do more things with the families. I start school back up again in August.

Jacob is working on things for his bear badge already in cub scouts. He really wants to try out going to the catholic school so Jared and I have been looking into it. He has to get braces already or at least the first step of process in October.

So far we have gone camping as a family once this summer and have another one planned with Jared's family on July 20-22 at Grouse Campground up north of McCall. The kids and I went camping with Nana and Grandpa the last part of June. Jared had to work and was unable to go unfortunately.

We are going to try and make a trip out to Iowa in August. It would be easier now since Alysa is not one yet. We are hoping to make it to the Shakespeare theater this summer as a family deal one of these months.

Jacob's b-day party is at this place called Bodies in Motion if anyone wants to look it up. It should be fun. I have lined up so far the rope obstacle course and the zip line for the kids but not sure what else yet.

June 2012

Well it has been already a lot warmer than normal or at least that is what it feels like. We went camping for Memorial Day weekend and got rained out 3 of the 4 days we were there.

Jared has a part-time job, but it turns out to be very part-time. He now has to file for federal extended benefits and he can only do so till the end of the year.

Beth has gotten a raise at work and her base pay is 12.25/hr at work and also got a promotion to csr II which is working in the retention department. She also got on the team that she wanted so now she makes a 1.50 more now with the new team. She also gets the major holiday off too.

Jacob is doing pretty good. He got out of school on June 1, 2012. On the 2nd of June he had a dance recital which was of tap and jazz. There will be a picture of his program on here too. I have one of the videos on Facebook and trying to upload the jazz dance. He starts vacation bible school (vbs) on June 18th to the 22nd here soon. He is hoping to go to St. Mark's Catholic School here in the fall.

Alysa is doing great. She is now 6 mos old and unsure of cold pool water. Unfortunately our pool is not heated. She is teething with at least 4 teeth coming in maybe more. She is rolling a lot now and she can almost crawl. She can get her knees under her but then can't figure out what to do.

All in all we are doing good. This is it until next month.
