We had a fun Christmas. It was definitely busy for us, I think for the most part we had fun running around with our heads cut off like a chicken (literally not really).
We let Jacob open up his Christmas presents on Christmas Eve during the day since we were going to be busy pretty much the whole day. Christmas Eve we went over to Jessica & Rudy Alvarado's house which are good friends with Jared's family and the person that was the photographer for our wedding. We were supposed to be there at 6pm which I took my mother-in-law (Kate), Jacob, and myself there. I went back and got my niece Alex an hour later. Jared, Don (father-in-law), Sean (brother-in-law), and Anna showed up a little later. We were there till about 9pm then we left to Boise to go to church with my mother that was singing in the choir at midnight mass (which was at 10pm). After that we went over to my parent's house and opened our Christmas presents there. Dad got home around midnight and it was nice to see him as well, since it has been a little while to just sit and talk to my dad. We got home around 1:30 am.
Christmas day we opened up our stockings and had cinnamon rolls. Jared cooked them so it was nice, Jared and Jacob waited to wake me up after breakfast was ready. Sleep what a nice wonderful thing. After that Jared and Jacob took over to his parents house in the truck, after that I shortly realized that we told his parents we would do Christmas presents with them so I headed over there. After we opened up presents over there I took Jacob home shortly after to take naps. I was so exhausted from the night before and I knew my son was as well. Jared ended up staying there since he was cooking the prime rib for dinner which was awesome, dinner was excellent. Jared ended up calling me around 4pm to wake me up and also let me know that my parents had showed up for dinner, so Jacob and I headed over there for dinner. After that we played some games which was fun. We ended the night around 10:30pm and Jacob went home with his grandparents around 8:30.

Beth & Jared
This year has been fun filled with happiness and sickness and pain. Besides going to I have been in and out of the hospital which did hurt my grades this semester. In September I ended up in the Emergency Room with a cyst that had ruptured. I definitely know that the pain from a cyst rupturing is a lot worse than having labor pains. I had a iud that was placed after I had Peter 2 years ago, well we had to end up taking that out because the iud had given me an infection and also I ended up getting another cyst that the doctor's are watching. They say its small right now but we will see how long or hopefully it will go away buy itself. I am happy though because I have a month off of school which is nice.
After we got married Jared was working for Allied Barton doing security for the Idaho Department of Transportation (IDOT). In October 2 weeks before Halloween Jared was offered a journeyman plumber job down in Shoshone which is about 2 hours away from Meridian. The company that he works for now is called Sweet Plumbing, which they have a branch that is moving up to Boise starting January so it will be nice to have him home more. The downfall will be that it is 24/7 so who knows what the hours will be or when he has to go work if its in the middle of the night or not. But with my parents here it helps out. Jared is hoping to reenlist into the military sometime next year so he is projecting that this may be the last time we spend holidays with both families for a little while.

Jacob
When Jacob completed soccer I thought it would be fun to put him in cub scouts and he totally loves it now. At first it was a challenge to get him to sit and listen but after a while when he saw that mom was helping him so he could advance he got into it quite a bit. In November he received his Bobcat Badge.
For fun the den leaders thought it would be cool to do the parent's faces as well. Jacob also tagged his Nana with a mark as well.
In December which was the last pack meeting before Christmas Break he received his Tiger Badge.
He is now trying to save up for a pocket knife with his scout bucks. After that he wants to save up at least a thousand scout bucks. It is awesome that he is setting up goals for himself to accomplish.
Our Family
Jacob and I have a new member of our small family. On July 4th, 2010 as everyone should know already by now that I got married to Jared Coulter. We didn't have a honeymoon or anything like that.
Soon after we got married Jared continued working with Allied Barton as a security guard and I had transferred over to Boise State University after deciding that I didn't want to continue paying $10,000/semester at Northwest Nazarene University. Jacob started 1st grade this year. When school had started Jacob was playing soccer for a team with Meridian Police Activities League (PAL). His team was called Black Ninjas. Soccer finally ended for him in either late September/mid-October.
Jacob also had won a free 2-week trial for Karate, which he did like but it was too expensive for us at the time. Maybe when after we get caught up on bills and other things we can look at putting him back into it.
