November

Well November has been a busy month for us.

We have a new addition to our family which is Alysa Marie. She was born on November 21st, 2011 at 1:58 pm. She weighed 8lbs 7ozs and was 20 1/2 inches long.
Jacob is still getting used to having a sibling and having a hard time learning he has to share the attention.

Jacob has had quite a busy month by trying to learn how to be a good big brother. He does help out by washing the bottles, sanitizing the bottles, he tries to feed her, and burp her. Jacob had a performance on November 27th at the Festival of Trees by tapping and doing jazz dance (which is his first year). So far he seems to like both. Jacob was in the top 3 sales for cub scouts selling popcorn. He sold over $800.00 and had the honor to pie his den leader in the face. He is really enjoying it. Next week is a potluck for the pack meeting and he is excited because he is going to help his step-dad make banana bread muffins with white chocolate chips.

I have fallen behind in school a little upon the arrival of Alysa. But I have things worked out with my instructors so I will be able to catch up and get good grades still.

Were still in the waiting phase on the military. Hopefully we'll have answers in the next few weeks or so. Jared is also trying to pick up side jobs here and there. He also wants to start helping more with Jacob's cub scouts so that will keep him busy.

October

Well things are still going slow but steady. Jacob had a good report card although it could have been better. He starts tutoring in November. Jacob is sick with a double ear infection which he got at the end of the month, he unfortunately wasn't able to go trick-or-treating but it was better off that way since it was pretty cold that night.

Since Jacob is sick, we ended up getting sick and it is really not good since the baby will be here soon.

September

Well it is already October. Where does the time fly. I am still in school and I feel like I am not doing so hot this semester since I am behind in one class. I now realize maybe I am taking too much on this semester, but the way we see it is even if I took this semester off I would have been behind a semester and we didn't want that. So I push myself harder and harder and it can be difficult.

Jared has still been trying to find a job. It is very hard since there are barely any jobs out there. The nice thing is though we are waiting until October 13 where he can go and talk to the Army recruiter and see if he will be able to go back in. I am praying that it will work out but it is hard to say. He is going to apply for a job with the Union that is here in town for plumbing and maybe he will be able to get a job in with them.

Jacob is doing well. He has gotten a good grade on two of his spelling test. I am waiting to see what his grade is from last week's test. Hopefully it will be good as the last two. He has 2 more weekends of soccer left. Yay one thing that will be knocked off from him being so busy.  Then he also has tap/jazz class on Monday nights so that still keeps him busy. He will be performing at the festival of trees this year so I am hoping that Jared and I will be able to make it. If we don't I know mom said that she will make it for sure. Thursday nights he has cub scouts and he is a wolf scout this year. I am amazed on how he has been taking more responsibilities on helping out which makes life easier. Jacob is doing a fundraiser for cub scouts selling popcorn and his goal is $600.00.
Here is the info if anyone is interested: www.trails-end.com. His scout id is: 16783940

August

Well it has been another busy month. I started school on the 22nd and Jacob had started school on the 24th. So far he is liking his new school and his teacher which is a very good improvement. Jared still hasn't found a job yet and it's hard but were managing. We took Jacob to the fair with some friends and we got to see the sea lion act, sting rays, and feed butterflies with nectar. We also took Jacob to the petting zoo and he was able to feed the goats and sheep. As mom and step dad walked by the goats they tried eating clothes (no bueno).

July

Well this is a busy month again for us. July 4th we celebrated our 1st year anniversary. Besides getting ready as much as possible for the baby to come we have been trying to get in a few more trips as well. Jacob left with my parents on July 12th to go to Oregon and visit family there and go to Seattle to visit my brother and sister-in-law. They also took the train from Seattle to Oregon to also go to a beach North of Lincoln City and had fun with my uncles, an aunt, cousins, and grandparents. He got back on July 24th from his trip.

On the 29th we went to a cabin that is a family friend of Jared's mom and went up there. We took Jacob on the ATV's for the first time in his life. He loved it. We were supposed to go huckleberry picking but the huckleberries were very spotty this year. His Uncle and Aunt came up from Hansen, ID and we made it a family trip.

Jared is waiting till next month. We went and talked to the U.S. Army so he is awaiting to be processed for them. So this may be our break to where he can go active again and the Army can give him more options then the Air Force and Navy. So we are definitely happy about that.

I just finished school for the summer on the 25th of this month so now I have to wait till August to start next semester. Which is good for us. Jacob is going to have to get ready for school again and get back on schedule. But next weekend he is going camping with my mom and her friends.

End of June Post

Well we just celebrated our 1st anniversary, was going to put it up in July blog but why wait. Anyway things are going good. I am in the last month of summer school yay for me. We are having a little girl in November and her name will be Alysa Marie Coulter. We are going to have the shower in October. We will be registered at Babies 'r' us and hopefully Target if we get around to it. For my b-day we went camping with Jared's family and Jacob brought a couple of friends with him.

Jacob just finished camp this last month for cub scouts so he was able to earn his BB gun belt loop and Archery belt loop. Jacob also got to learn gun safety and shoot a 22 rifle which was Grandpa Don's and he went fishing. Although he did have a hard time with his reel and rod just a little. When he would cast he would catch it on trees and Jared would have to try and get it untangled.

Jared is still looking for a job. There is not much hope unfortunately. We are basically waiting for September to roll around so he can get back in the military. He will be going Navy reserves and working through the back door to go active again.

End of May (I Know It's Late)

So Jacob received his wolf scout achievement although he will not get his badge until after he starts scouts again in August. Jacob will be out of school June 8th. Jacob has a few summer camps set up for cub scouts this summer so he will be very busy camping trips this summer, and vacations set up with Nana and Grandpa. We are going camping this weekend for my birthday so it should be fun. About 2 weeks ago we moved into a new place. Here is our new address for anyone that does not have it:

Schneider-Coulter
9178 Glen Ellyn Ln
Boise, ID 83704

I start school for the 1st quarter for the summer the day after my birthday so I will be busy June 6th to July 27th which Jacob turns 7. Also I am about 4 months pregnant and we are expecting a baby on November 22nd. So far if it is a boy we picked out Jared Wade Coulter Jr (JJ) and if it is a girl we came up with Helen Elizabeth or Helen Kathleen Coulter.

Jared still hasn't found a job yet because the economy is really bad. He won't be able to get back into the Navy until September and he won't be able to go active because of something he had gotten in trouble for last year. So he will have to go reserves and he is able to apply for all the deployments he want so he can try and go active again. So if everything works out then we will be leaving after baby is born. Next month we get to figure out what the baby is so it is very exciting.

May 6, 2011 (End of April Blog)

Well a lot has been going on this month. Jared ended up getting laid off. Jared and I thought our lease wasn't up until June, but we were definitely wrong and it ended at the end of April. Jared ended up moving back home to his parent's house and Jacob and I moved back in with my parent's temporarily (or at least we hope). Right now Jared is waiting to hear back from the Navy recruiter since according to the Air Force he was over his military age. How they figure that out is by: your current age minus how many years you were in the service. So for example, 32-years old minus 4-years of service. So it would be 32-4=28 which the cut off is under 28-years so he missed it by a year.

We found out that we are pregnant so we actually just went to the doctor today and found out that we are approx. due in November on the 22nd and that I am about 3 months along, a lot farther than we thought. Jacob decided he wants a baby brother, mom and dad decided they would want another little boy since we have 1 already (which is Jacob).

Jacob advances this month not just from 1st grade to 2nd grade, but he also advances from his Tiger cub to Wolf cub, which is very exciting this month. He ended up having his 3rd tap dance recital tonight which I hope to have a small video on facebook for anyone that is interested. I may not get it up until tomorrow or next week, since I have finals this coming week and a paper I have to get in this week as well.

A Lot Has Been Going On (April 5, 2011...end of March Blog)

Jacob and I had Spring Break at the end of March. We took a trip up to Moscow and Lewiston so Jared could see his family as well. My best friend Michelle and her son Ethan went with us so they could see their family in Clarkston. We got back on Saturday so I could help a friend move on Sunday.

School is almost over for me, but I still have 2 classes this summer I am taking because I need one more math and one more science class. Jacob will be done on June 8th then he will be in second grade. For this summer he has a busy one. He has cub scout camps since he will be a wolf scout and he is going on vacation with his Nana and Grandpa to Oregon and Nana would like to put him into swimming lessons as well as tutoring too so he can stay with his class and maybe get a head a little bit.

Jared and I have put our 30 day notice in where we are living in Meridian, ID. We are trying to find better jobs so that we can have a place over our heads. I may have to go back to the parent's house for a little bit and he may have to go to his parent's for a little bit in the meantime. So we are trying to figure out what to do.

Jared's aunt and uncle are giving us a weekend in Jackpot, NV for our honeymoon that we never did get around to having so that will be nice. We are headed down Easter weekend with a couple of friends.

February 23, 2011 (Here u go Unca Larry)

Well I know I haven't been on here and doing a blog lately. It has been crazy busy here. Yes I was reminded from my dear uncle that I haven't been on with an entry yet. So I am now doing that. School has been crazy since I am sorta back to online classes again like I was when I was at University of Phoenix, but not just the two online classes that I am in I also have two hybrid classes which is half in the classroom as well as half online. I am in two classes that are currently two upper division classes at a University. I am currently learning how to brief criminal U.S. Supreme Court cases as well as Idaho U.S. Supreme Court cases. They are interesting classes. I found out that I have 2 1/2 semesters left for my A.A. in Criminal Justice which I am happy about. YAY!!

Jared is doing great. He has been sick with something not really sure what. The company that he worked for has finally moved up to Boise. He has finally started working after being off for two weeks. He almost has his fine paid off so he can go talk to a recruiter for the Air Force so he can go back into the military and if they won't take him then the Navy will take him in August. I have asked him to see whatever branch he gets in so that he can hopefully get stationed in WA. I may take a summer semester to the point that if he does get in I may have to stay back for a couple months to do that one semester. So we'll see what happens. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Jacob has been doing great. His CWPM (correct words per minute) has been awesome. He is only supposed to be at a twenty and he is at a forty two. He is now reading at a second grade reading level which I am very proud of him. He goes to school early Mon, Wed, and Thurs mornings by 8 A.M. He works on his math those three days which he is very good at addition and needs help with subtraction. Jacob is doing cub scouts so now he is a tiger scout and will be a wolf scout when summer hits. I will be putting him into camps hopefully this summer so he can earn some more belt loops and also have fun with his friends. Jacob has the pinewood derby coming up here next month so him and grandpa have been working on the car. Jacob got to do the chili cook off with cub scouts and was successful since nana made the chili. Jacob has had only one B on a spelling test so he does very well.

BTW it is Jared's B-day today

New Year

Well we had a fun New Year's Eve hanging out with friends. Jacob started school on January 3 or 4. I started school on the 18th of this month. I talked to my advisor and found out that I only have 2 1/2 semesters to get my AA in Criminal Justice which is nice. This semester I am taking 2 hard classes and 2 easy ones. I am also finally getting into reading U.S. Supreme Court Cases as well as Appellate Court Cases as well. So even though these classes would be hard it should be fun. That is it so far for this month that I can think of.
