May

Well April came and gone amazing when you have a baby and time flies.

Beth has been at Directv for 3 months now and trying to get into another department that will give her a raise and bonus. She starts her new schedule for May which will be Saturday and going back to day shifts. Which will be from 5:45-2:15pm.

Jared's papers were sent to the main office for the military. We should know this week or next week if he gets back in. He finally picked up a part-time job where he is doing well plumbing.

Jacob just went through first communion (pics on fb), he did a very good job reading. He will be receiving her bear rank here soon in cub scouts. Hopefully we will be able to put him into golf lessons but not sure yet.

Alysa was baptized at St. Mark's Catholic Church on Easter 2012 (pics will be posted on fb), when I get a chance. She is a very easy baby, Nana & Grandpa will be helping out with her here and there so it will be nice.

March 2012

March has been a very busy month for us. Beth is still working for Directv and hoping to switch into another department to get a pay raise and a better schedule. Besides working full-time she is still a full-time student and full-time parent.

Alysa is now 4 months old and her baptism is next Sunday on Easter. She has her dad's smile and has been teething since she was 2 1/2 months old. Although she still hasn't cut any teeth yet on the gum line.

Jacob is wanting to start taking golf lessons so this year were hoping to put him in some for the summer. He has been helping a little more each day with his sister. Jacob has a girlfriend and her name is Arianna, she has been coming over on Fridays to hang out. They have been dating supposedly since school started.

Jared is still not working. We have to get Alysa's birth certificate before they send in his application for the military. Since then he has been a stay at home dad and he likes it but then he doesn't. Since then we have also tried applying for a VA loan to buy a home and if he is able to go full-time Active in the military we are going to rent out our house at that point.

January

Well we are definitely looking for high hopes this year.

Beth ~ I just started another semester on January 17th. I started working at Directv on January 23rd. So I am definitely busy now. I have work M-F from 5:45-2:15 pm and then I come home and do all of my homework.

Jared ~ Goes in Monday morning to do the rest of the process for the U.S. Army Reserves. So we should know something by next month. He was approved for MEPS so he has to go down after he gets the ok to finish the process. Then he gets to pick his MOS.

Jacob ~ Is busy with Dance class on Monday nights and cub scouts on Tuesday nights. He is getting ready for the Pinewood Derby which is next month. He has a music program at his school on the 16th of February, I think it is geared for President's Day.

Alysa ~ She is doing great. Last month she went in for her shots (2 months). She weighed 11.7 lbs, 23 1/2 inches, and 33 cm (head). She is now eating 4-6ozs every few hours. Jared is being a good stay at home dad and he likes it, although he would like to work as well.

This weekend as a family we went to McCall Winter Festival, which was the last weekend.

December

Well a month has gone by and the New Year is here.

Our daughter Alysa is a month old. She loves making dad stay up all night long and she also loves making faces at us even including her big brother on this too. She has been making great progress growing and getting heavier.

Jacob made out like a bandit for Christmas again, but then I am pretty sure once Alysa gets bigger she will too. Jacob got presents this year from his great aunt and cousins in Iowa. Which will hopefully get him to try new things in the science area. Jacob got 2 radio control cars this year (one that he has to build & another one that mom bought him that uses batteries), he got the 3-D DS and he got the game he wanted from Santa.

Jared has been receiving side jobs a lot lately that has been helping us. Hallelujah for that. We are still waiting to hear back on the rest of it for the military.

I start school next month on the 17th. I have 3 days to buy my books which will be Wed, Thurs, Fri this week. I signed up for the Medical Reserve Corp (MRC) for the state of Idaho and I receive my CPR and first aid on Friday morning.

November

Well November has been a busy month for us.

We have a new addition to our family which is Alysa Marie. She was born on November 21st, 2011 at 1:58 pm. She weighed 8lbs 7ozs and was 20 1/2 inches long.
Jacob is still getting used to having a sibling and having a hard time learning he has to share the attention.

Jacob has had quite a busy month by trying to learn how to be a good big brother. He does help out by washing the bottles, sanitizing the bottles, he tries to feed her, and burp her. Jacob had a performance on November 27th at the Festival of Trees by tapping and doing jazz dance (which is his first year). So far he seems to like both. Jacob was in the top 3 sales for cub scouts selling popcorn. He sold over $800.00 and had the honor to pie his den leader in the face. He is really enjoying it. Next week is a potluck for the pack meeting and he is excited because he is going to help his step-dad make banana bread muffins with white chocolate chips.

I have fallen behind in school a little upon the arrival of Alysa. But I have things worked out with my instructors so I will be able to catch up and get good grades still.

Were still in the waiting phase on the military. Hopefully we'll have answers in the next few weeks or so. Jared is also trying to pick up side jobs here and there. He also wants to start helping more with Jacob's cub scouts so that will keep him busy.

October

Well things are still going slow but steady. Jacob had a good report card although it could have been better. He starts tutoring in November. Jacob is sick with a double ear infection which he got at the end of the month, he unfortunately wasn't able to go trick-or-treating but it was better off that way since it was pretty cold that night.

Since Jacob is sick, we ended up getting sick and it is really not good since the baby will be here soon.
